Garden Chowder

Writer's picture: Breanne SimsBreanne Sims

This recipe is a family favorite, and fantastic with seafood!

Directions:

Add bacon, oil, onions, and garlic to pot and saute for 5-10 minutes. Add the broth and potatoes and begin to simmer for 10-15 minutes. Chop and add the rest of the veggies, add the seasonings, adding the cream last. I tend to throw in any extra veggies I have laying around from the garden as well, like a few green beans or eggplant or peppers. Simmer until veggies are cooked through and potatoes are soft. Serve warm and garnish with chopped chives. This makes a great side dish to any meal, or add some wild caught shrimp for a quick dinner!
