Exercise and Fasting

Is exercise safe while fasting? The short answer: Yes!

Fasting gives you endurance once your body learns to switch to fat for fuel. We always train in the morning in the fasted state, whether we're doing cardio or weights. You *may* experience some lag when you begin to fast and train fasted but it will improve over time. Exercise during a fast will put you into ketosis, or burning fat sooner. So it can accelerate your results with fasting. Exercise also has a lot of the same benefits as fasting! So, if you're doing both, you are doubly improving your health!
